2015 Reading Goals

DSC_0648Every year I challenge myself by creating a reading goal, and 2015 is no different! Usually, I base my goals on how many books I think I can actually finish rather than how many I want to read. I like to have my reading goal all about feeling good at the end of the year by how much I accomplished. I don’t want to feel that I should have read more. Although let’s be honest, I think we all feel that, at least a little bit.

This year I set my goal at 20 books. Last year I also set my goal at 20, but only managed to read 19. Close, but no cigar! I made it the same again because I really want to complete that goal and I know that I can. This year I was a little lazy in keeping up on my reading. I always start and end strong, but slag off in the middle.

Sadly, I have only actually finished one of these reading challenges after doing it since 2011. Hoping I can change that this year! The first time I did it I vastly overestimated how much I can read in a year by making my goal 52 books. I won’t be making that mistake again!

Some other readings goals I have is to read more nonfiction this year. I started last year and surprisingly really enjoyed it. I really want to jam as much knowledge as possible into this brain of mine!

What are some reading goals you have for 2015?

Until next time x

Best times

Day 18; A picture of one of the best times of your life.

This picture was taken back in 2010 when Kimberly and I were in South Korea. I consider this one of the best trips I’ve been on so far, but the best day out of this trip would have to be the SMTown concert (This pic was taken before the concert started). What makes it so great isn’t even the fact that we got to see a lot of great people perform but actually the energy of the fans. It feels amazing knowing you’re a part of something like that with 35,000 other people!

So this is actually the last day of this photo challenge. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and maybe sometime in the near future I’ll take part in another one!

Makes me smile

Day 17; A picture that makes your heart smile.

This is from my trip to the Oregon coast with my family last summer. My sisters and I were making ridiculous drawings in the sand as well as putting anything we could find on the beach and making little sculptures. Definitely miss the ocean a lot when I look at this but it makes me smile remembering how much fun we had.

Yesterday, I took part in the Vow of Silence, and I am happy to say it was a success! We apparently had almost 70 people participating in my school which is double from last year so I am happy more people are becoming aware about this great cause. Not being able to talk for 24 hours is actually probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done; I never realized I wanted to say so much! I did accidentally talk a couple of times, because people are always trying to catch you off guard. tsk tsk. Luckily it was only a couple of words!

By the way, happy December!

Always changing

Day 15; A picture of a time when everything was changing.

This picture symbolizes change in my eyes. I suppose that everything is always changing anyways, you can’t necessarily stop it.

Aaaand because I will be taking part in the Vow of Silence tomorrow (an initiative by Free the Children) I will not be able to talk or do anything on social media for 24hrs and I assume this means blogging too. Thus, I will be posting what was meant for tomorrow, today!

Day 16; A picture that makes your heart hurt. Every time I travel along the coast with my family there is no doubt that you will come across a dead animal. Even though its a natural process in life, for me the sad part is not knowing whether the cause of death was man-caused or not.

As I will not be blogging tomorrow, have a lovely rest of the day, and tomorrow!

Wind blown hair and all

Day 13; A picture of how you’d like the world to see you.

I suppose I want the world to see me as a slightly crazy, yet very passionate person. Willing to do anything to achieve what I want in life. An adventurer of sorts; wanting to discover whatever I can of this world.

And by crazy I mean I can just be very random at times. This photo probably only shows the crazy side… wind blown hair and all. And if you couldn’t guess, I am imitating a crab.

We really are twins

Day 12; A picture of you with someone you love.

Me with my twin sister, Kimberly. And yes, we really are twins. Even if we fight once a day or once a month I know in the end I can always count on her <3

And on a second note… Skyrim is the best game ever made! Played it for only a couple of hours and already I am addicted. Here goes to all my homework down the drain…
